Scripture: 2Kings 2:9-10,15; 1Kings 19:19-20; Matt.6:24; 3:17; 14:28.
2Kings 2:9 ¶ And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me.
10 And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so.
2Kings 2:15 And when the sons of the prophets which were to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.
1Kings 19:19 ¶ So he departed thence, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he with the twelfth: and Elijah passed by him, and cast his mantle upon him.
20 And he left the oxen, and ran after Elijah, and said, Let me, I pray thee, kiss my father and my mother, and then I will follow thee. And he said unto him, Go back again: for what have I done to thee?
1. He would have never been in the position to receive a double portion if he did not Leave what he was used to, to follow after God.
2. He did not negotiate with God. From the Beginning it was God way.
Mt 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
Mt 3:17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Mt 14:28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.

Message Title: Abide in my Love
Scripture: John 15:1-11
John 15:1 ¶ I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
9 ¶ As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

Message Title: They came for Him at night
Scriptures: Luke 22:39-55; Ephesians 2:1-8.
Luke 22:39 ¶ And he came out, and went, as he was wont, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed him.
40 And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation.
41 And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed,
42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
43 And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.
44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.
45 And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow,
46 And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.
47 ¶ And while he yet spake, behold a multitude, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them, and drew near unto Jesus to kiss him.
48 But Jesus said unto him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss?
49 When they which were about him saw what would follow, they said unto him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword?
50 And one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear.
51 And Jesus answered and said, Sffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear, and healed him.
52 Then Jesus said unto the chief priests, and captains of the temple, and the elders, which were come to him, Be ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and staves?
53 When I was daily with you in the tempule, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.
54 ¶ Then took they him, and led him, and brought him into the high priest's house. And Peter followed afar off.
55 And when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the hall, and were set down together, Peter sat down among them.

Message Title: Show Me Your Glory

Message Title: Show Me Your Glory
Scriptures: Exodus 33:14-23.
One of the most common questions and
hardest to answer is, “Why do some prayers get answered and others don’t?” I
must warn you. We will not get to all the reason why today. Hopefully, this
writing will help you understand this questions a little more.
What we are asking for in prayer is to
essentially see the glory of God. There are some steps to making this happen.
Here are a few basic ones. Let’s start first with these scriptures.
Exodus 33:14-18
14 And He said, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”
15 Then he said to Him, “If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from
here. 16 For how then will it be known that Your people
and I have found grace in Your sight, except You go with us? So we shall be
separate, Your people and I, from all the people who are upon the face of the earth.”
17 So the Lord said to
Moses, “I will also do this thing that you have spoken; for you have found
grace in My sight, and I know you by name.”
18 And he said, “Please, show me Your glory.”
Notice in verse 14 he says,
“My Presence will go…and bring you rest.”
Knowing that God is with us
should bring us a rest we may not feel before entering into prayer. Not finding
rest because we told God what we wanted and a lot of times how we wanted it
done. Just knowing that he is there and due to that fact we are going to be
alright no matter the outcome of the prayer.
This is where verse fifteen
comes in. I don’t want my answer to prayer to go outside of whatever God wants
done.
Verse sixteen. And in answering
our prayer or guiding us through whatever it is we are praying about, let the
world see that we walk in your grace. In other words, they may have not seen
why it was or was not answered. We may not have it seen why it was or was not
answered. When it’s all over with the world will know and so shall we. It
worked out better his way. More doors open up, you were driven to go another
direction. Which if, you had not gone, you would have never learned or
experience what you now hold dear. We will see his glory in our lives.
Exodus 33:18-23
18 And he said, “Please, show me Your glory.”
19 Then He said, “I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I
will proclaim the name of the Lord before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I
will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.” 20 But
He said, “You cannot see My face; for no man shall see Me, and live.” 21 And
the Lord said, “Here
is a place by Me, and you shall stand on the rock. 22 So
it shall be, while My glory passes by, that I will put you in the cleft of the
rock, and will cover you with My hand while I pass by. 23 Then
I will take away My hand, and you shall see My back; but My face shall not be
seen.”
“Show me your
glory,” Moses asked. God says you cannot unless I hide you in the cleft or you
will die. Without the grace of God we die. The rock he places him on represents
Jesus. His hand covering the rock represents his grace covering Moses (us). Our
faith must be that Jesus is the only way to God and the only way God can or
will hear us. When our faith is truly there. We will see the glory of God.
Be blessed
in Jesus name.

Message Title: Losing Control
Scriptures: 2Kings 5:1-6; 5:9-12; Isa.64:8; Gal.2:20; Heb.11:1; Rom.8:28.
Losing control rarely has a good
sound to it. We usually associated losing control as something we should never
do. We practice not losing control. We teach not losing control. We frown on
those who do lose control. Society praise’s us we don’t lose control especially
in tough situations. Not being able to lose control or give up control can also
hinder us.
2 Kings 5:1-6 nkjv
Now Naaman,
commander of the army of the king of Syria, was a great and honorable man in
the eyes of his master, because by him the Lord had given victory to Syria. He was also a mighty man of valor, but a leper. 2 And
the Syrians had gone out on[a] raids, and had brought back captive a young girl from the land of
Israel. She [b]waited on Naaman’s wife. 3 Then she said to
her mistress, “If only my master were
with the prophet who is in
Samaria! For he would heal him of his leprosy.” 4 And Naaman went in and told his master,
saying, “Thus and thus said the girl who is
from the land of Israel.” 5 Then the king of Syria said,
“Go now, and I will send a letter to the king of Israel.” So he departed and
took with him ten talents of silver, six thousand shekels of gold, and ten changes of clothing. 6 Then
he brought the letter to the king of Israel, which said, Now be advised, when
this letter comes to you, that I have sent Naaman my servant to you, that you
may heal him of his leprosy.
Hear we
have a powerful man in his community, who is in desperate need of help. He
hears he can receive help for his condition through a man of God and starts to
make arrangements to visit him. As the story continues, he meets with the man
of God but gets angry on what he is told to do to receive his healing. We pick
up the story in verse nine.
2 Kings 5:9-12 nkjv
9 Then Naaman went with his horses and chariot,
and he stood at the door of Elisha’s house. 10 And
Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, “Go and wash in the Jordan seven times,
and your flesh shall be restored to you, and you shall be clean.” 11 But Naaman became
furious, and went away and said, “Indeed, I said to myself, ‘He will surely
come out to me, and stand and
call on the name of the Lord his God, and wave his hand over the
place, and heal the leprosy.’ 12 Are not the [c]Abanah and the Pharpar, the rivers of
Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? Could I not wash in them and be
clean?” So he turned and went away in a rage.
Let’s pay close attention to verse eleven. Naaman had preplanned how his
healing was going to happen. How many of us do this? We pray or do something
for the Lord with it already worked out how God is going to answer our prayers.
We must understand God may have other plans for the situation we are in.
Nevertheless, his plan is always better than ours. Therefore, we give up
control, or surrender to his plan.
Isaiah
64:8 nkjv
8 But now, O Lord, You are our Father; We are
the clay, and You our potter;
And all we are the work of Your hand. He must be allowed to be our potter. If, he is that means we give up control.
And all we are the work of Your hand. He must be allowed to be our potter. If, he is that means we give up control.
Galatians
2:20 nkjv
20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is
no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of
God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
We no longer live for ourselves but for God and his will in
faith.
Hebrews 11:1 nkjv
Meaning I may not always see how this is going to out for me but
my faith says it is. We stand on the word of God not by our own strength or
sight. Knowing this…
Romans 8:28
28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who
love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
Give up control.
Give control to God. Then you can receive from God more than you could have
ever hoped for.
Be Blessed in Jesus
name.
