While Ben
Sheppard has served a number of churches as a relief and/or fills in pastor; he
is best known as a corporate evangelist.
While working as a Safety and Health/Loss Control consultant for
numerous global companies and/or representing the U.S. Department of Labor to
assist foreign governments in reducing serious incidents and fatalities he was
blessed to be able to share the gospel with many peoples in settings not normally
targeted by missionaries or other evangelists.
For example: his travels have taken him to many countries around the
world; (i.e., the United States, Russia Canada Mexico Philippines, India,
Africa, Chili, Brazil and many others.)
While teaching Safety and Health/Loss Control courses and a variety of
Leadership courses at various institutions of higher learning (i.e., Penn
State, University of Alaska, South Dakota School of Mines and Technology,
Colorado School of Mines, College of Eastern Utah, Virginia Tech, University of
Utah, the Mine Safety and Health Academy, India School of Mines, and others;
God has provided him opportunity to carry the gospel openly to both individual
and large groups of nonbelievers.
He says, “He
has been blessed to kneel down on a mountain top with loggers; and kneel down
in the waste water ditch in mines; to lead men in a commitment prayer to the
Lord; as well as on airplanes; in offices; at church; picking up hitchhikers;
and many, many other places.
His desire is
to serve the Lord in whatever capacity and place God places him. It appears that he will now be shepherding
God’s flock at Crossroads Community Church.
Ben has a BS

Health/ Loss Control. He is a Master
