Message Title: Advent of Christmas & Worship
Reference Scripture: Isa.55:10-11; Ps.96:13; Matt.1:19-21; Luke 2:8-10

Isa.55:10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
Ps.96:12 Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice
13 Before the LORD: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.
(KJV)
Mt.1:19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.
20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
Luke 2:8 ¶ And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

Message Title: Preparing for Christmas
Scripture: Jonah 1:1-4

As Christmas gets closer a lot of us will be inviting or attending church for the first time in a long time. Which is great? I just want us all to receive the fullness of this day.
Christmas can lose its meaning if we are not careful. It becomes about presents, family gatherings, parties. We might even say things like Jesus the reason for the season. All wonderful things but that’s only half of it.
I want to share with the story of Jonah; I know not your typical Christmas story.
Jonah 1:1-4
Now the word of the Lord came to Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, “Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry out against it; for their wickedness has come up before Me.” But Jonah arose to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord. He went down to Joppa, and found a ship going to Tarshish; so he paid the fare, and went down into it, to go with them to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord.
But the Lord [a]sent out a great wind on the sea, and there was a mighty tempest on the sea, so that the ship was about to be broken up.
Now some of us that will be attending these Christmas parties, church services and family gatherings are struggling due to the fact we are being disobedient to God. The same as Jonah and are suffering the same as he did.
Yes, Jesus is the reason for the season. This season requires repentance. You cannot celebrate Jesus birth without realizing that Jesus birth and Jesus death are connected. Jesus was born to save the mankind from sin.
Please this year don’t just put a tree buy, some gifts, attend a church service and forget why Jesus was born.
Turn your sin over to him and allow him into your heart not for the Christmas season but, for a life change. When you do, now you can experience Christmas every day.
Be blessed in Jesus name.

Message Title: Protecting What's Yours
Scripture: Isa.55:11; Matt.2:12-15; Jeremiah 29:11; Hebrews 12:17.

Isa 55:11

So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void,
But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

Here we have God, telling us that Jesus (my word) would come and do what he was sent to do, which is save the world from their sins.

Matt 2:12-15
12 Then, being divinely warned in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed for their own country another way.
13 Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word; for Herod will seek the young Child to destroy Him.”
14 When he arose, he took the young Child and His mother by night and departed for Egypt,
15 and was there until the death of Herod, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying, “Out of Egypt I called My Son.”
Now, in these scriptures we have God warning that Jesus would be destroyed. We have to remember that Jesus being born and saving his people was prophesized throughout the Old Testament. So, why the warnings? If, God wanted this to be why not just make Jesus invisible every time a guard came around? I’m writing this today to say, even though God has a hope for us to accomplish something it is still our job to protect that dream, goal, and mission.

Jeremiah 29:11
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Yes, God has these things in mind but if we don’t protect that we can lose it. We protect that hope dream etc. through obedience to God. We cannot get that word unless we have a personal relationship with God. When the wise men were warned and Joseph was warned, they could have only been warned because they had that relationship with God. Therefore, when they received the warning they did not think it strange and were able to act upon it.

Hebrews 12:17
17 For you know that afterward, when he wanted to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no place for repentance, though he sought it diligently with tears.

Here we have a different story. Esau, did not count his birthright important at the time, sold it and could never get it back even when he cried to get it back. Don’t lose out on your blessing because you think it’s too hard to obtain it or its going to take too long. Whatever the reason is to stop, push through. Protect what belongs to you. That hope that God has for you. Being obedient to God is your first step in protecting it.

Be blessed in Jesus name.

Message Title:  Your Miracle Has Already Happen
Scriptures: John 18:28-30; Matt.11:28-30.

Too many times we go into our prayer lives thinking that we need to do something extra when a prayer doesn’t happen when or how we thought it should be answered. We often think our prayer is not being heard do to something we have or have not done. When in actually our prayers our heard due to and only due to the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross.

John 18
28 After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I thirst!”
30 So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.

All things were not accomplished. Meaning there is nothing left to be done. It is finished! Everything that needed to be done in scripture was done Jesus fulfilled everything; we don’t have to add to anything he has already done to come to God. Due to his finished work we our forgiven due to his finished work our prayers are heard.

Matt 11
28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

Take rest that if your faith is in Jesus you already have everything that needs to be done to be heard and for your prayers have already been answered.
The Miracle you need to happen has already happen. Now, pray knowing you are being heard no matter your short comings. No, matter how much of the Bible you know or don’t know. Pray to God in Jesus name and be heard.
Be Blessed in Jesus name.
