Message Title: Fine Tuning

2Ti 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
Take a look at these guitars.
Not even the most seasoned guitar player can tell if
any of these guitars are in tune just by looking at them. Not until he or she
actually strums the guitar will he or she be able to tell if the instrument is
in tune. Now, you don’t have to be a guitar player or a musician to know if an
instrument is out of tune or not. Once you hear it, you’ll know something is
wrong. You may not know how to fix it, but you will definitely know something
is wrong. Strumming, is actually applying pressure to a string that is already
stretched to a specific length to give it the sound you are looking for. Most
of us cannot tune an instrument by ear so, we have a device to help tune the
instrument.
Some of us try to live life like the picture of theses
guitars. We go to church, good job, picture perfect.
Until the pressure of life happens. Then we know some
things in our life are out of tune. Friends and family may not know what’s
wrong but let me ensure you may friend they know something is wrong too.
The word of God is our life tuning device. Its helps
us determine what is wrong and how to fix. Like these guitars, sometimes it is
not until pressure is applied when we realize that something in our life is not
working. A marriage, job, health, any part of our life could be out of tune.
In 2 Timothy 3:16 is says,
All scripture is given by inspiration of
God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for
instruction in righteousness:
The word of God is to help us get back to where one
aspect of our life is in harmony with all the other aspects of our life. You
can’t have a great job, and a horrible marriage. You will still be living a
miserable life. God wants everything in your life to work with everything else
in your life. There will be times that the word of God challenges you.
Stretches you, just like the guitar string being stretched. This is only so,
that the when the pressure of life happen, you don’t just look good, but you
are in perfect harmony with life.
