Message Title: Life is Now Just a Formality
Responsive Reading: Gen.2:16-17; John 3:16; James 1:14-15; 1Cor.15:25-26:
Rev. 20:14.
We as Christians get confused
sometimes about why bad things happen to us. Why do we suffer sickness? Hurt
knees, back, things like high blood pressure. Death? The list can go on and on.
Let’s face it whenever there is suffering in involved we want to just pray it
away.
The non-Christian world ask the
question, “If God is so loving, why is there so much suffering in the world?”
When really the answer is that God predicted this since the very beginning.
Genesis 2:16&17
16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of
every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of
it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. KJV
God warned that death would happen. Until the moment they ate of the fruit
there wasn’t going to be any death. Sickness, and disease are signs that our
bodies are eventually going to die. Some sooner than others but, nevertheless
everyone dies. Their disobedience brought sin into the world therefore causing
death to enter the world and all the causes of death to enter the world. God’s
loved his creation so much, that he could not bear to see it be destroyed.
Therefore, he made a plan to send His son to pay the ultimate price of sin so,
that we could return to our original glory of being with him forever.
John 3:16
For God so loved the
world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him
should not perish, but have everlasting life. KJV
That still doesn’t answer the question
why then do we still have sickness and diseases. Why it is that new born babies
die? And the million questions just like it?
James 1:15
14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of
his own lust, and enticed.
15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is
finished, bringeth forth death. KJV
Death is a natural cause of sin as well as sickness, disease, and even
premature death.
This will all be done away with after judgment day and death is cast
1Corithains 15:25&26
25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under
his feet.
26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. KJV
Revelation 20:14
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the
second death. KJV
After this is complete there will be again no more sickness,
disease, or death. God’s original plan restored.
Life and all we go through in it, is simply a formality.
It’s like a prisoner who is set to be released. The judgement
has been set maybe time served and now he’s just waiting for the paper work and
to be escorted out. A painful process, I’m sure but all a formality, because
technically the prisoner is free. That’s the same with us. Our sins have been
paid for, now we sit in this life (the at times painful process) waiting to be
physically set free.
