Message Title: Fruit That Produces Faith
Scriptures: James 2:19-20; Mark 5:25-34; 6:53-56.

Have you ever notice that there are more people that claim to believe in God then those you live their life like they believe in God? This is a huge problem for them and the world. It’s not enough to just make a verbal proclamation that you believe in God.

James 2:19 NKJV   You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!

Saying that you are a believer in God and not surrendering to that belief does you no good. Without action behind that statement, the statement is dead.

James 2:20 NKJV     But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?

Here is what happens when you have a faith the is alive.

Mark 5:25-34
25 Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, 26 and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse. 27 When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. 28 For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.”
29 Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction. 30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched My clothes?”
31 But His disciples said to Him, “You see the multitude thronging You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’
32 And He looked around to see her who had done this thing. 33 But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth. 34 And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.”
I want to bring out a couple of points in this story.
1.   Jesus says your faith has made you well.
What was the evidence that she had faith? After hearing who Jesus was she said in her heart that if she could just touch him she would be healed and then proceeded to try and touch him unto she finally did. Verses 27 & 28. Faith in action.
2.   She had heard about Jesus from the same crowd who was thronging him and yet she was the one who got healed. Why? They were making a statement of faith and not acting on it she made a statement of faith by her actions. Verse 29-31
3.   After she showed her faith through action it encouraged others to do the same.
Mark 6:53-56
53 When they had crossed over, they came to the land of Gennesaret and anchored there. 54 And when they came out of the boat, immediately the people recognized Him, 55 ran through that whole surrounding region, and began to carry about on beds those who were sick to wherever they heard He was. 56 Wherever He entered, into villages, cities, or the country, they laid the sick in the marketplaces, and begged Him that they might just touch the hem of His garment. And as many as touched Him were made well.
Your faith should produce in someone to seek out Jesus for themselves. Don’t just make a statement with your words to day make a statement with your life.
Be blessed in Jesus name.
